On the bright side, aluminium is natively a soft material, so that it scratches and dents and dings easily. This too implies that somekeyword is susceptible to warping over large heats. The lower of the aluminium skillet may ultimately bend, especially if it really is applied regularly more than a high heat. Yet another disadvantage of utilizing aluminium kitchenware is that it leaches. Metal kitchenware may act in response along with acidic and also alkaline elements. Leafy fruit and vegetables and acidic food, for instance tomato plants and citrus fruit items, digest by far the most aluminium. Prevent preparing food these in aluminium kitchenware. The standard kinds of aluminium utilized in kitchenware tend to be list, cast and anodized. List or even hard pressed aluminium is considered the most typical. The actual material is folded or even rubber stamped directly into condition and is in most cases employed for baking sheets and dessert cookware despite the fact that stockpots, steamers, dinero containers and also with little outlay priced skillets might be made from this.As it is so gentle, it is usually blended with magnesium, copper mineral or even solidit? to regain it stronger and more resilient. Bought this pressure cooker for only $20 at Sam's Club--over a year ago. I never used one before because I was afraid. It is easy to use, and came with good instructions. It has worked very well, and I use it on average 2x/week. I've been super happy with it.

Only recently have I noticed a little water sputtering out of the unit. I suspect it's time for a new gasket. Can't seem to find a good replacement. I'm going to call a knowledgeable appliance parts company tomorrow. Even though I did not pay too much for it, to replace it with another stainless steel unit would be very expensive. Aluminum ones are easy to come by, but I don't cook with aluminum--safety issue.

4.0 out of 5 stars Buyer beware..item may not be warrantied, March 16, 2011
This review is from: Member's Mark Dual Pressure Settings Pressure Cooker - 6.3 qt.
Loved it while it lasted. Bought it January 2010. Have used it about 5 times. I went to use it last weekend and it doesn't work. It doesn't come up to pressure. It's clean and the gasket is in perfect condition. I contacted my local Sam's Club to ask how I go about getting a new one since it has a lifetime warranty but I don't have the box it came in or the receipt.
They told me that since it's past 30 days that I can't return or exchange it plus it is no longer being manufactured. I got on the Sam's Club website and it is "to view" only and out of stock.
So....buyer beware. Luckily I only paid $20 bucks for it.
